Thank You and Farewell to Wes Holodniuk

After 11 years as General Manager of H Wilson Industries (2010), Wes Holodniuk has announced his retirement, effective July 26, 2023. Project Manager Chris Noble will become the General Manager of H Wilson Industries (2010), effective July 1, 2023.

“On behalf of the Volker Stevin family of companies, I want to thank Wes for his invaluable contributions to H Wilson Industries (2010) over the last 11 years,” said Volker Stevin Canada President and CEO Fred Desjarlais. “He has been a true inspiration to work with, and while we are all excited for him to enjoy retirement, he will be missed.”

“My wife and I moved to Fort McMurray 33 years ago, and during the drive up, I made her two promises; the first was that we would only be here for five years, and the second was that I would retire by the time I was 60. It’s time for me to make good on one of those promises,” said Wes.

In his time with H Wilson Industries (2010), Wes has contributed to the company’s reputation as a local company focusing on improving the communities where we live and operate. “Wes’ dedication to Fort McMurray is unrivalled,” said Fred, “he is always willing to go the extra mile and continues to put his community’s needs at the forefront of his business.”

“Working with everyone at H Wilson Industries (2010) has been a privilege. We have built a strong team that continually rises to the occasion, and I know that they will see continued success in all of their future endeavours,” said Wes. “It will be hard to leave, but I know the company will be in Chris’ capable hands.”

“Chris has worked with H Wilson Industries (2010) since 2016, and in that time, he has demonstrated his passion for building and maintaining relationships with clients and colleagues,” said Fred. “Chris’ work ethic and leadership have earned him this role, and I have no doubt that he will continue Wes’ legacy as a community-driven general manager.”

“Wes, thank you again for your years of service. You have accomplished a great deal and have met every challenge with an unwavering commitment to doing what was best for your employees and community,” said Fred. “Please don’t be a stranger; our doors are always open.”
